GRB 110213A: A Study of Afterglow Electromagnetic Cascade Radiation

چکیده

Abstract We obtained well-sampled optical photometry of GRB 110213A, including Swift/UVOT and XRT. Combining our data from those other ground-based telescopes, we present 15 multicolor light curves showing similar shapes with two peaks. In contrast, in the X-ray band, only a single peak is observed between Temporal spectral analysis 110213A shows that X-rays differ for Phases I–III (before second band at ∼5.6 ks). Moreover, they have same behavior late times (Phases IV–VI). These indicate emission are dominated by different components. The GeV afterglow of GRB

We study the emission of the short/hard GRB 090510 at energies > 0.1 GeV as observed by the Large Area Telescope (LAT) onboard the Fermi satellite. The GeV flux rises in time as t 2 and decays as t −1.5 up to 200 s. The peak of the high energy flux is delayed by 0.2 s with respect to the main ∼MeV pulse detected by the Fermi Gamma Burst Monitor (GBM). Its energy spectrum is consistent with F (ν...

The afterglow onset for GRB 060418 and GRB 060607 A

Gamma-ray burst are thought to be produced by highly relativistic outflows. Although upper and lower limits for the outflow initial Lorentz factor Γ0 are available, observational efforts to derive a direct determination of Γ0 have so far failed or provided ambiguous results. As a matter of fact, the shape of the early-time afterglow light curve is strongly sensitive on Γ0 which determines the t...

The Edge of a GRB Afterglow

We discuss the formation of spectral features in the decelerating ejecta of gamma-ray bursts, including the possible effect of inhomogeneities. These should lead to blueshifted and broadened absorption edges and resonant features, especially from H and He. An external neutral ISM could produce detectable H and He, as well as Fe X-ray absorption edges and lines. Hypernova scenarios may be diagno...

The puzzling case of GRB 990123 : multiwavelength afterglow study ⋆

We report on the BeppoSAX data analysis of the afterglow of Gamma–Ray Burst (GRB) 990123, one of the brightest GRBs detected by BeppoSAX. Mainly due to its exceptional brightness, this is the only source for which the Wide Field Cameras have allowed an early detection of the X–ray afterglow between ∼20 and 60 min after the GRB trigger. Besides, again for the first time, high-energy emission fro...

Testing GRB models with the strange afterglow of GRB 090102

We present the observations of the afterglow of gamma-ray burst GRB 090102. We use optical data taken by the TAROT, REM, GROND, Palomar and NOT telescopes, and X-ray data taken by the XRT instrument on board the Swift spacecraft. This event features an unusual light curve. In X-rays, it presents a very monotonic decrease with no hint of temporal break from 0.005 to 6 days after the burst. In op...
